The Role

Initially, this is going to be a player-coach position. As Regional Sales Director, you will execute on business strategies and uphold standards to ensure that sales goals are met or exceeded, while also demonstrating best practices by achieving your own targets. We are seeking a self-starting, proactive, results-oriented Regional Sales Director to drive the results of our partner engagement team, through recruiting, training, organizing, coordinating, measuring, coaching, problem-solving, and leading.

As Regional Sales Director, you will have an influence on strategy and tactics, expanding and coaching your team to success, as well as the opportunity to grow your own career as a leader. You will have access to leaders for visibility, mentorship, and to ensure that SDR voices are heard at the top of the organization.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Directly lead a regional sales division in multiple countries, channels, and segments. Owning revenue targets across the European region

  • Hiring and growing an A team of new and experienced sales talent, leaders and contributors.

  • As the senior leader in the region, you will work with the Head of Partner Engagement to define and execute regional sales and go-to-market strategy.

  • Be responsible for the overall success of the region through coordination of all functional areas, ownership of revenue, as well as driving the culture across European Partner Engagement Team.

  • Own and drive high impact initiatives to support both existing and new growth areas.

  • Establish strategic and tactical plans required to identify, qualify, and capture new sales opportunities across the European region.

  • Drive and nurture client engagement, and take an active role as a regional executive sponsor and industry/market spokesperson for Instructure in EMEA.

  • Mentor and develop a skilled and dedicated sales team of generalists, vertical and segment specialists (Mid-Snr Enterprise Sales/Government/SDR Sales), as well as developing channel efforts.

  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline necessary to deliver against budget, quota, and revenue responsibilities. Responsible for the regional forecast and productivity.

  • Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive understanding of industry trends and technical developments that impact European markets.

  • Provide day-to-day sales team growth and development including recruitment, training, motivation, support, and evaluation.

  • Lead efforts to improve work processes and build customer partnerships to meet or exceed customer expectations and increase loyalty.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create focus and drive results.

Job requirements

Role requirements

  • 8 years minimum of sales experience as a top performer, including time as a team lead, coach, or manager, preferably in a sales development role at a fast-paced, SaaS company

  • Thrive in a goal-oriented environment

  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing conditions at a fast-paced, growing company

  • Have a demonstrated ability to engineer and optimize systems and processes autonomously

  • Ability to learn quickly and you are always searching for ways to expand your knowledge

  • Helping your employees grow and move to their next challenge excites you

  • Familiarity with tools such as Slack, Hubspot, G-Suite of Tools, Gong/Chorus, LinkedIn Navigator

  • Challenger Sales Methodology - or similar

  • Previous experience in Edtech sector is highly regarded

  • Preferable is a Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
